Getting to Canberra, Australia
Canberra now has an international airport with direct flights on Singapore Airlines from Singapore and Wellington (NZ) which may form part of your booking. Qatar Airlines will commence flights to Canberra in 2017.
You can also book a flight to Canberra which may include a transfer at one of the other international airports in Australia (such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth). Most international visitors to Canberra arrive in Australia at the Sydney International Airport. From there they can chose one of the following ways to get from Sydney to Canberra:

Weather in April
April Weather in Canberra is usually mild and warm. The average daytime maximum is 20° Celsius and there are about 5 rainy days for the month of April on average (we might expect one or two days of rain over a week). The nights are much cooler (7° on average). The location of the icebreaker camp will be about 1 degree cooler than Canberra.

You will need for the icebreaker camp: A daypack; hat, sunglasses, sunblock; warm weather clothes; cool weather clothes, and something for the cold weather just in case; a rainjacket; a torch; sensible and sturdy walking shoes.
